Fionnuala Kennedy, Chief Pharmacist with the Mater Private and President of the Hospital Pharmacist’s Association of Ireland was the first of our three speakers. She spoke about prescribing in the private hospitals, and the particular challenges they face.

Anna-Marie Curran is a Partner with A&L Goodbody and specialising in procurement law. She was our second speaker, and gave an overview of procurement rules within the healthservices industry and some insights into the changes likely to be made in procurement in public hospitals.

Fionnuala King is the Chief Pharmacist in AHDMP within the HSE. Fionnuala gave an overview of the structure within the HSE, how both funding and reimbursement works within the hospitals.
