Our summer Women in Leadership lunch will explore the importance of sport in developing resilience and leadership skills.  
We’re delighted to be joined by Ireland’s first female Olympic finalist in canoeing – Hannah Craig – who will be in conversation with Richie Stakelum, Internal Medicine & Hospital Business Lead, Ireland – Pfizer 

 

Hannah Craig, Olympian & Women in Sport Manager – Sports Ireland 

Hannah is Ireland’s first female Olympic finalist in the sport of canoeing. Her career in sport spans 20 years from first international start line to last.  Hannah is a fast-thinking resourceful and creative solution-finder with global lived experience. She has the proven capacity to design and project manage innovative programmes with an objective of improving the sporting landscape for all.  She possess strong leadership skills which have been honed over years as a performance athlete, coach, ambassador, and mentor. Highly effective at imparting successful strategies for sports systems, education, team collaborating and personal achievement. 
Hannah has a passion for human performance, the great outdoors and positive social change and has recently joined Sport Ireland in a new role as Women in Sport Manager.

 

 

Richie Stakelum, Internal Medicine & Hospital Business Lead, Ireland – Pfizer 

Richie began his career as a primary school teacher as far back as 1984.  A chance meeting with Michael Dempsey MD of BMS in 1996 led to him entering the pharmaceutical industry.
In 2005 he joined Wyeth and has been with Pfizer since its merger with Wyeth in 2009.Throughout his 28 years he has occupied many roles from sales to sales management, from marketing roles to business unit leadership positions . He has been part of the Pfizer Healthcare Ireland Country Leadership team since 2013.  He has also successfully completed secondments in Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland where the focus was on their Rare Disease categories.
Richie’s greatest passion is coaching and development of talent and believes that benchmark behaviours lead to benchmark results.
