We’re delighted to host Dr Lesley Tilson, Deputy Head with the NCPE for a breakfast briefing on November 20th.  During her talk, Lesley will discuss Healthcare Cost Effectiveness and will give an outline of the trends and observations in reimbursement across the industry along with policy updates from the NCPE.  

This will be an essential stakeholder briefing for anyone involved with market access, commercial or external relationship management aspects in their organisations.

Speakers: 

Dr Lesley Tilson, Deputy Head – National Centre for Pharmacoeconomics

Lesley is Deputy Head at the National Centre for Pharmacoeconomics (NCPE) and is a graduate of the University of Brighton. She trained in the Chelsea and Westminster hospital, London and then worked as a resident pharmacist at the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust.  During this time she completed a Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy with Cardiff University. Lesley worked as a senior clinical pharmacist at St James’s Hospital Dublin, on the intensive care unit and cardiac surgery ward. She has a PhD from the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Trinity College Dublin (2002-2005) and a Diploma in Statistics from Trinity College Dublin (2003-2004).  She is a lecturer in pharmacoeconomics to undergraduate and postgraduate pharmacy students.  Research interests include: Economic evaluation of pharmaceuticals in the Irish setting, pharmaceutical pricing and reimbursement strategies, policies to promote generic markets, international pharmaceutical pricing, analysis of drug utilisation and expenditure trends.  She received the ISPOR Bernie O’Brien New Investigator Award in May 2011.

 

 

Claire Barry, Head of Consulting – Salutem Insights

Claire is an accomplished pharmaceutical professional with over 20 years of experience focused on health economics and patient access.
With a PhD in Neurophysiology from Trinity College Dublin and a Postgraduate Certificate in Health Economics from the University of York, she combines scientific depth with strategic leadership. Formerly Head of Patient Access at Bayer Pharmaceuticals and a member of the IPHA Market Access Advisory Forum, Claire has secured reimbursement for a broad range of therapies by navigating the Irish reimbursement process, including HTAs and horizon scans. Now as Head of Consulting at Salutem Insights, she applies this expertise to help clients address complex market access challenges across multiple therapeutic areas
